Hello!
i’m in an iPhone 8 iOS 12.4. Message previews and notification previews are still seen in the lock screen (like the message content is fully seen and readable) even if in notifications, everything is set to “When Unlocked.” How do i fix this? I want the content to be viewable only when unlocked and not in the lock screen. Thanks!

You said that in Settings>Notification>1st option ... you set "When Unlocked".
What can you see (for example) scrolling down to Messages? Under Alerts, is the "Lock Screen" option unchecked/unflagged?

You won't be able to see the name only: all the text or nothing.
Make your tests reading the section "Change alert styles" in this support guide:--> Use notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
Then choose the best settings for your needs.

Lock screen must be "UNchecked". When done, restart your device, then test it

i think you can. it was like that before... message previews would show when the phone is unlocked in the form of banners. however when locked, the name of the person appears together with “text message”. i just reseted setting then this happened. thanks for your help anyways.
First option in notifications is already set to “When Unlocked.” Lock screen is checked. Help pls :(
Ive tried and If it is unchecked, I wont know if i have received any messages. I just want to see the name but not the message content. Setting is already set to “When unlocked.”
