pc recognizing my ipod nano

i wanted to delete and add some songs to my iPod shuffle 4th gen but when i plugged it into the USB port it said that an iPod support service wasn't installed. i tried looking up how to install this but all the answers didn't work. it was working a good couple of months ago. any suggestions on what i should do?

ipod support service is not installed Just installed latest version of iTunes on Windows 10 (this is after DAYS of rebooting, uninstalling, reinstalling, resetting external devices, etc.... So doing #8 didn't work either?

Try connecting your device to another computer. If you have the same issue on another computer, contact Apple Support.

no support sites, YouTube videos or pc commands help me
