Signing in to older ipad

I cannot sign into my old ipad...know my apple id and pw, but screen is asking for a 4 digit number and I've tried all that I might use to no avail. Can't get past sign in screen. Anyone knows workaround?

I have old iPad I need to sign on ID and password it won’t take my info I have a old IPAD from 2013 and I have a iPad bought in 2019. I went to use my old iPad today and it is making me log in with my Apple ID and my password. However it will not accept it. So I changed my password on my iPad from 2019 and tried to log in on old iPad and it still won’t accept my I’d and password. What do I do?
