Boot Camp Assistant won't proceed past Intro Screen when i hit "Continue"
when i open boot camp assistant, i can’t proceed past the Intro screen. i hit the Continue button and nothing happens, so i can't even make it to the next screen where i pick the iso location. there are no errors or pop up messages, it doesn’t freeze or crash, it just stays on the intro screen not moving to the next screen. i can keep clicking Continue but it doesn't do anything. there’s no other hidden pop up windows somewhere in the background.
i am running Mojave on a late 2015, 27” iMac. based on my model of mac, i shouldn’t have to use a usb installer but i did try that also with the same result, except that time it gave me a warning to eject my external drive. otherwise the windows iso is on my desktop.
my hard drive currently is not partitioned, and i ran first aid and everything was fine. i recently just did a full time machine restore. i have never had a Boot Camp partition on this Mac.
anyone encounter this or have any suggestions? i have been searching the web for a solution but everything i find has a specific error or something that points to a real problem. i'm not even getting an error i can search for.
