How do you exit guided access on the 2018 iPads if the passcode is forgotten?

Correct, you will need to treat the device as if it were disabled and restore with iTunes on a Macintosh or Windows PC/

Thx! However, it is not disabled. The forgotten passcode is not the screen passcode, it is the guided access passcode. Does the device have to be restored if the guided access passcode is forgotten? Thx!!
