Can you get beats if you bought an iPad for college but for last semester? So it was bought in January?

Very very unlikely to pretty much a definite no. When Apple runs a promotion like this, it is timed and has an end date. If when you purchased your iPad the Beats deal wasn't available at that time, Apple is not going to retroactively provide the promotion now.
