iPhone email works but not syncing with iCloud (and my Mac)

The email on my new iPhone X works, however it is not syncing with iCloud and my MacBook. I have iCloud on, such that these are my settings. What am I doing wrong or not doing?

Hi Steven,


It sounds like you're having trouble syncing content with iCloud, and I want to help.


Are you using an iCloud.com or other Apple email for your Mail account on both your iPhone and your Mac?


To sync content with iCloud, you'll want to make sure the same Apple ID is logged in all devices.


Here's what to try to sign in to iCloud:

Set up iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support


Let me know if that helps. If not, tell me which content you're trying to sync that's missing(Contacts, Notes, iCloud Photos, etc)
