Software failure of iPhone 8

I have a problem where there is one phone number that I cannot call, without it going to voice mail. I can "message" that same number. My number is not blocked on that phone. The solution offered by many who seem to thing they know the solution, is to wipe my phone, and restore it from scratch.

Your thoughts?... Regards, Michael

Also.. How do I backup my phone to my iMac, wipe it .. then restore it from my imac?
  • Open iTunes.
  • Connect your phone and click on its icon in the top bar of iTunes and choose your iPhone if you have more than one iOS device.
  • Check Encrypt Backup (if you don't not everything will be backed up) and enter a password. And DON'T forget it - write it down.
  • Click Back up now
  • When it finishes, click Restore iPhone

This will erase the phone, install a new copy of iOS, and prompt you to restore your backup. After the backup restores, leave it connected and it will download your apps from the App Store and music from your computer or the iTunes store, wherever it resides.

Hi.. thanks for the reply... I hear one or two rings. then voice mail... I have both phones in front of me.. neither has blocked the other. The other phone can call me. (the other phone in not off :-) network settings have been refreshed (reset)... Apple thinks it's the network (Sprint) I have to call their high tech people... sigh! It's not the phones...
