That probably means something broke inside. However, you might want to try the suggestions in this article:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support

If nothing works, make arrangements to have it serviced:

Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple
