You are much better off with a laptop than an iPad/iPad Pro.

Even better? A laptop and an iPad/iPad Pro as a companion to the laptop.

But iPad/iPad Pro, ALONE, for what you are going to be doing? NO WAY!

If you do not already own a laptop or MacBook computer, get a laptop or MacBook computer, instead.

OR

IF you like the form factor of a tablet, look at Windows Surface Tablets instead which are much more powerful, supoort many more input devices and have lots of ports for external peripheral devices, if needed and these run full blown Windows OS.
