i bought an apple watch series 3 from a friend the other day, and it’s stuck on the temperature warning. it doesn’t respond to charging, and if i press the buttons or try to do a reset, nothing happens. it’s also been inside my air conditioned house, and it hasn’t left my house. i’m not going to the apple store and paying $300 for them to make a warning screen go away, so is there anything i can do or should i just throw it out? please help

I suggest you return it to your friend and get a refund.
Then try a reset by pressing in the crown and side button until you see the Apple logo, then release both buttons. If that doesn't help I suggest you return it to your friend and get a refund.
thank you but that didn’t really help. ever since i got it, it’s been in the right conditions but it still has the warning. the watch isn’t hot and it isn’t in hot conditions either. i haven’t even gotten to use it all
that also does nothing. i’m not sure what’s wrong with it
