Cancel subscription on child account

How can I cancel a subscription that my daughter has on her child account? We tried to follow the steps for canceling a subscription but because she has a child account we can not click her apple ID as it is not highlighted.

Cancel subscription started on child's account. Am I correct in thinking that although I authorize my child to take out a subscription, that I personally have no control over that subscription, i.e. my child has to cancel that subscription? This would have to be against the terms of the credit card on file for my account, and California law, where I live. I assume that I have some way to remotely cancel the subscription, right?

Cancel subscription made by child account I have a recurring subscription fee for something that shows up under my child’s appleid. It doesn’t show up under my family shared subscriptions. I can’t figure out how to cancel it. Do I need to log out of my own account entirely and somehow log in as my 9 year old in order to cancel? (And if so, isn’t that a bit ridiculous?)
