"marked location"

I found this morning that the first item on my Maps app was a "Marked Location" that I had never entered which happens to be in a very questionable area where I would never visit. Any idea how this could occur and is there any reason for concern?

According to: Mark and share locations in Maps on iPhone - Apple Support

"Mark a spot

Touch and hold the map until a pin marker appears."

In my experience, if you "Touch" the display, a "Marked Location" will show up for even a brief inadvertent hold.

Don't worry about it, just delete it:

"Delete a pin marker

Tap the marker, tap Edit Location, then tap Remove Marker."
