There was an error connecting to the Apple server

I can't believe I did this. I left my Mac out in the rain. I submerged it in rice to obsorb any water, and to my surprise, it turned back on. Problem now is it doesn't accept my login password, when I go into recovery, I get an error message " There was an error connecting to the Apple serve". Anyone has an idea how to do solve this delama? I have a mid-2013 13' with retina display.
