What happens when you try to charge your phone via USB inside your home? Does it charge well from your home electrical outlet? From a PC's USB port? Is your car's USB power supply putting out at least 1A of power? Does your car's Lightning cable appear damaged?

Try various combinations of cables and power supplies to isolate the problem and to prove, hopefully, that your problem is due to a faulty accessory and not your iPhone. If your case is typical, you will find that your car's USB adapter or your car's Lightning cable has gone bad.
