Activation lock for purchased Ipad

Hi,

My company have bought 2 iPad Pro which are included in a car when we won for a car auction in New Zealand 2 weeks ago.

However, these iPads are locked and we cannot contact the previous owner to ask him to unlocked them with his Apple ID (he agreed to help us before but after that we couldn't contact him anymore). We still keep the receipt for the car auction.

Could you please tell me how we can unlock these iPads?

Only the previous owner's Apple ID & password can help.

Activation Lock is a theft deterrent feature, there's no bypass or workaround for that.
