Sharing files

We are currently replacing our dropbox account with icloud drive (2TB with family sharing) and were just wondering how we share complete folders within the family? We for example have a folder with the manuals for all our appliances and another folder for all information about our sailboat (folder tree with probably a few thousand files).

It has been announced that the forthcoming iOS 13 will have folder sharing.
