To follow up on what Kirk has said, there is no such thing as a country lock. There are carrier locks, but that is all. How to unlock your iPhone for use with a different carrier - Apple Support

I got an iphone as a gift from US......
Now am on india and am trying to use it here.....before that this phone has been used by inserting US sim.... because of this reason i cant be able to use the indian sim cards.....
In addition to what Kirk has said, depending on where the phone was purchased and what type of phone it was at the time, there are certain retail box stores in the US that sell what are phones on a flex lock, which will lock to the first SIM inserted into the phone. And unfortunately, those phones will not be unlocked, and cannot work outside the US. The only place to purchase a true unlocked phone in the US is at the Apple Store. So, you need to find out where the person purchased this phone at and what they asked for. Also, the warranty for that device is only valid in the US. Any warranty work would require you to bring the phone back to the US or send it to family/friend that can take it to Apple. They will not accept international shipments of iPhones. Not a good idea to purchase a phone in a country that it is not intended to be used for. I understand it was a gift, but the best bet in that scenario is to provide you with a gift card instead.
Explain yourself a bit better.
Your device is still locked to a US carrier. Call them and ask them to remove the lock. Apple can't do it.
