i keep getting telephone calls that my icloud has been breached, how can i tell if this is true or a fake call.

Such calls are scams from criminals trying to steal your personal and financial information.

Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support

Absolutely a scam. Do not believe these. You can also call Apple support if you still feel unsure. I am sure they will answer that question for you and for no charge. I am no expert at these type of things. But If I got a message like that I would just ignore it. Best of luck to you.
