How to restore contacts to my device?

Contacts are generally managed by a mail account, iCloud or other cloud service. How were you managing your contacts? That determines how to restore the contacts. Either sign back into the service you were using to manage them, or if you were not using anything and just had them on the iPhone, then you will need to restore the phone to a backup of the phone that was made while the contacts were on the device.
