What type of gift card do I have? - Apple Support

There are now two kinds of Apple Gift Cards:

  • App Store & iTunes Gift Card: Works towards Apple ID account balance, for use in the App Store, iTunes Store, and related subscriptions (including Apple Music).
  • Apple Store Gift Cards: Works towards payment of mainly tangible goods, like hardware in the Apple Online Store and Apple Retail Store.
