Itunes labels genres wrong

I am a dj. I have a ton of music.

I have usb of my music organized into folders. Each folder a different genre.

I have iTunes running from the usb. when it imported all the music it labeled all the genres wrong.

How do I fix this?

iTunes reads the embedded tag metadata, not details that might have been encoded in the path. As long as you have things arranged such that iTunes doesn't move files when you import them then you can create an empty playlist, drag in the content of a genre folder, then update the genre of all of the added tracks, clear the playlist and repeat.
