Pin number for macbook
I keep getting a security alert for a certificate trust change when trying to access .gov or .mil websites. It is asking for my PIN...where do i find this number that I have never used before?

If it is for those web sites only, it should be a number generated when you first set up your log in. See if there is a procedure on the web site to reset your pin. Another possibility is that a pin was sent to your registered email address when you tried to log in. Have you checked your emails?
I think I can help you, a bit. Apple has recently changed how it does things, for Apple ID, and security generally. For Apple ID, rather than trying to get in (*and failing* 5 times then getting locked out, and having to choose a new Apple ID and password), Apple has chosen to link your Apple ID to your email address or phone number, so, should you forget it, or should something happen, you can choose to have Apple call you/email you/text you a 6 digit randomly generated number which will let you back in. I don't know what version of the OS you are using, you can find that out by going to the Apple icon at the top left of your screen, then choosing "About this Mac" and it'll tell you. My only suggestion would be to upgrade your OS to the most recent one you can. other than that, check under security in whatever web browser you are using.
