When I take screenshot on my Mac, Messages opens automatically

when i take screenshot on my mac messages opens automatically. How do I get this to stop?

Hey, meweldon.


I see that, whenever you take a screenshot of your MacBook Pro, it opens the Messages application. You'd like it to stop, and I'm glad to help.


How to take a screenshot on your Mac -- Make sure you're taking a screenshot correctly. Also check Apple Menu () > Keyboard > Shortcuts to see if you're using the keypresses to open Messages.


Keyboard shortcuts in Messages on Mac -- Make sure you're not using a Messages shortcut to take a screenshot of your Mac.
