Set up auto pay for Apple Card
Haven't yet seen instructions to have Apple Card get automatically paid from my checking account each month before the due date.

this is from Apple how it works page (Apple Card - How It Works - Apple) - Credit card payments often have seemingly random due dates. With Apple Card, your payment is due on the last day of the month. Easy to remember. Makes complete sense. You can also set up weekly or biweekly payments to match when you get paid. By the way, paying more often helps you save on interest, too.
Once you get the card you can set it up for auto payments just like any other card.
You will have to contact your bank for that.
