Just checking to see if maybe there is now a way to do curved text in this newest version of Pages 5.1. I’ve seen posts on this question going back 10 years and hoping that maybe a way to do this has finally been added. Thanks in advance!
The answer is no. If you want text on a curve, you will need to do so in the free GIMP, or any other vector graphics application that supports this feature. Export as high resolution image and drop in Pages. There are several applications in the Mac App Store that can do text on a curve:
The Pixelmator family
Affinity Designer, or Publisher
Others
There are YouTube videos on how to perform text on a curve for any of the above mentioned products. The Pixelmator and Affinity applications have full featured trials on their website links from the Mac App Store.
