Can I ask if anyone knows why Apple wouldn’t include a stock barometer / altimeter in the Apple Watch?? Campers , hikers , aviators and many more could do with these two features. Prime example Huawei GT has and awesome graphic trend baro/alt that functions flawlessly. Apple please consider

I use a very nice one just called "Barometer & Altimeter Pro". The developer is Steffen Bauereiss.

My guess (and it's only a guess) is that Apple tries hard not to compete with 3rd party developers. So first, most included Apple apps are primitive compared to what is available from the app store. I use almost none of the built ins. And then, as in this case, it's not something that most users would care about, so why wasted the limited storage on the watch for apps that will get little or no use?

But why would they? It would cost them money to develop and will not make them any more money. I agree with Lawrence's assessment on the matter.

I have tried some apps but none really feature a nice barometric trend graph. Huawei has a fantastic example of this that Apple surely can replicate. Not sure if decibel reading is far more important than Baro/alt to be honest 😉

Yes, I know that. They created it because it is health related and there is no other app available.
