iPhone 7plus portrait mode doesn’t work anymore

My I phone 7plus is just 1week old since I bought it however the portrait mode doesn’t work ,i was told to hard reset my phone and update my iOS ,i did this and it worked for 2days but stopped working again ,now it detects faces but the depth effect doesn’t turn yellow ,does anyone know why?
