Location Services intermittent

New iPad Prop - factory settings - location services enabled, click on Apple Maps, click arrow to locate myself, Apple Maps just spins forever. Installed and tried Google Maps, get error "location not available". Oddly enough only Waze works.


Called Apple Support, tech confirms issue through screen share, although hardware diagnostic says the sensors are working, asks me to send the iPad Pro in for service, they play with it for a few days, send it back with "unable to duplicate".


Back home, still at factory settings, try Apple Maps, same problem. Do another reinstall of the base OS, problem disappears. I think some sensor is on the verge of failing, how should I proceed, Warranty expires in a month or so.
