Camera Shutter Sound

I ordered a refurbished iPhone X on Amazon, but the shutter sound can't be muted even when I have it on silent. I know that in other countries there are legal reasons why you can silence it, but is there a way that I can on my phone ?

No, if that unit was intended for a market where the shutter can't be silenced (i.e. Japan).
