best replacement for time capsule since it's discontinued
Is there a best replacement for (discontinued) Time Capsule)? Preferably one that supports Time Machine.

There are no other manufacturers that offer a device that is a combination of a WiFi router and a built in hard drive in one package, so there is no "best" product available in that category.
If "best" can mean using a separate WiFi router with a separate attached USB hard drive, then the Synology router would be a good choice, since it fully supports Time Machine. More info here:

Asus also offers a few routers with this capability as well.
If you already have a WiFi router, then the "best" option might be to add a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device. Synology is a leader in this category, and their products offer full support for Time Machine.
