Crossfade function in Garageband

Is there any way to use a crossfade function in Garageband?

I mean, in the edit mode of one track, I’m fine tuning tempo and consolidating several takes, and I want a smooth transition.

If not available... any plans for future versions???

use two or more tracks, and create a volume curve (automation) to fade the volume to 0 on one track while bringing the volume up from zero on another (you have hundred of tracks to use, but two is all you should need)
