switching keyboard layout when logging out

So i recently bought a azerty keyboard and i changed the settings of my mac so it would be a europeein keyboard layout but when i switch user it goes back to the qwerty keyboard layout so to enter a code i need to see the english (qwerty) keyboard. So its quite complicated thank you.

Please help me=)

Keyboard choice at login I've got a macbook with an azerty keyboard, but my system is in English (UK). For the past month, ever since the battery got replaced, every time I try to login, the system thinks my keyboard is "ABC" (i.e, qwerty), so every time I've got to first update the keyboard on the upper right menu (to "ABC-AZERTY") then login (it's much easier when you want to type your password that if you press "a" you send an "a", not a "q" ;) ) Any idea how to set up the login keyboard once for all?

multiple keyboard layouts Hi, is it possible to use two keyboards with different layouts? I have a MacBook Pro with a British keyboard layout, and a magic keyboard with as US layout. I'd like each keyboard to work the way it's supposed to without manipulations when I switch between the two. Is it possible? In addition, even the instructions to find the layout for a single keyboard don't work for me. I'm following this support article: https://support.apple.com/en-ie/guide/mac-help/mchlp2886/mac But when I do, a window appears, asking me to press the key to the right of the left shift key. I do, and I get a popup saying that this key isn't recognised. That's shocking since both keyboards are Apple products, I expect Mac OS to be able to recognise them both easily.

In the user where it changes to QWERTY... Sys Prefs>Keyboard>Keyboard tab... have you clicked the Change Keyboard Type there?
