Trying to migrate data from iMac to MacBook Pro. I tried using Migration assistant on the same wi-fi, and I tried connecting the computers with a cable and using target disk mode, and neither work. the computers won't see each other. ??
Best, fastest, and most reliable way is to use the Time Machine backup from the old iMac and plug it into your new Mac.
