Unable to add card to iPhone X

For some reason I am unable to add my Visa Debit card to my iPhone X and Apple Watch. Its worked in the past but it suddenly not working. I key all the relevant details from the card but the message keeps coming up that says 'Could Not Add Card'.

When go to add a new card my existing card and previous card appear but it still doesn't work. I am also unable to remove them and start the process from scratch.
