ipad will not scroll within a Spectrum email

Besides a MBPro and iMac for regular use, my wife and I each have an iPad 9.7 in. but we are stuck with Spectrum as our internet and webmail provider; we finally lost the relatively reliable Roadrunner email a few months ago. And rather than using Mac's own Mail, I use Safari to open the webmail which works well enough except for some weird quirks. But the problem is with our iPads opening the email with Safari. I can scroll thru the list of emails and open one, but I cannot scroll within the email itself. When I try to touch-scroll, the whole page tries to move, instead of the info in the message itself. I haven't tried Spectrum support yet, mostly because it is non-existant - never got an answer to messages, so I better set aside an hour or two to call them. Has anyone had a similar issue? Is there an iPad setting I have missed? HELP, my wife is not happy!

Force close Safari, then try again. To force close any App, double tap your home button to bring up the App Switcher. Slide the Safari app upwards (along with any other apps you may not need immediate access to) to force close the app. Once done, tap your home button once to go back to your home screen. Open Safari, sign in again and see if you can navigate properly.


Also, why haven't you just added the Spectrum Email account to your mail app on iPad?

Hi rbrylawski-

I tried that a couple of times, even shutting down completely, with no change: when I try to scroll, the whole page moves upwards or down. And after going thru many of the other related topics on this site, it may not be a good idea to try to run Spectrum thru Mail, for my iMac and MBP or for the iPads. Either that, or I never hot around to it...
