Frequent request for my apple password

A few days ago, I started getting requests on my iphone for my Apple password. It is now coming hourly or more frequently. How do I make it stop? The starting of this behavior may be timed with my purchase of a new iPad Air, or possibly the implementation or Two Factor security. Getting desparate. This must stop.

By the way, Apples "What device is this about is invalid. How would I know what device this is about other than I am getting the notifications on my iphone 6.

Hello wswan55.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

If I'm understanding correctly, you are repeatedly being prompted to enter your Apple ID password on your iPhone 6. I will be glad to assist.

Have you attempted a restart since this issue began? If not, let's try that:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Let's also check your device list to see which devices are signed in:

Check your Apple ID device list to see where you're signed in

Cheers.

I have restarted the iPad and iPhone. I have checked the device list and it seems in order, however I don't see how the later action is relevant. I posted the original question on August 12. Today is August 17 and the requests for Apple ID and password continue at approximately six per day. I just hit the cancel now because whether I press cancel or I enter the password, the result it the same, no difference. I have not exhausted the other proposed solutions I have found on the internet, but so far non of those have worked either. Any other suggestions?
