Okay, but also, as the OP has an iPhone XR, your instruction was incorrect:
"Swipe up from bottom and in Control Center..."
As Apple says: "On iPhone X or later or iPad with iOS 12 or later, swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen." [Source]

Try turning your phone to landscape mode. I have an XR and when I view the forum in landscape mode, it is virtually the same as using my iPad or my Mac. It looks like the desktop version of ASC rather than the iPhone mobile version.
Swipe up from bottom and in Control Center tap the padlock in circle icon
