Locate a device

Hello,

Are you wishing to setup Find my iPhone on your iPad or setup Find my iPad? You can enabled Find my iPad by going to Settings -> Tap your account -> iCloud -> Find my iPad.

If you want to use another (from someone) device to locate a misplaced device,

download Apple free Find My iPhone app and login with the device Apple ID to track.

Assuming you have Find My iPhone/iPad ON before lost.

If you enabled Find my iPhone in Settings -> Tap your account -> iCloud on your iPhone you can then track that iPhone by using the Find My app on your iPad. You must have Find My iPhone enabled on the iPhone in order to use this feature.

Please verify that your iPhone is signed into the same Apple ID that you are logging into the Find My app on your iPad.

You cannot switch Find My iPad ON remotely, if you haven't done so already.
