I just bought a Macbook Pro this week in Apple Store, it is working very well but is shutting off when the battery is 36%, is this a common problem or something programmed to save battery life? Or it is a problem with the manufacturer.

Resetting SMC could solve the issue, though you'd better contact Apple support to tell them about battery drain.

It was 100% when I just opened it, then it turned off at 36%. I charged it and then the same happened again. It's the third time.
