How to pick a cell and all those under it in a column

In addition to the key stroke combination SGIII presented, each of this modifier keys ( shift and command) can be used individually to add cells to a selection.


Click the first cell to select it,

then:


command-click another cell to add it to the selection

OR:


shift-click another cell to add all cells between it and the original cell* to the selection.

*"all cells between it and the original selection" in this context means

"All cells contained in the rectangular array containing both the originally selected cell and the cell on which the shift-click was performed:"
