I have a 2017 Mac book, My return key isn't working. Any advice besides the basic Google answer?

I would try an SMC reset

and possibly a PRAM reset
Have you spilled anything on it recently? Have you tried the SMC reset?
Yes, Nothing seemed to work. I figure I will need to take it into an appointment. My nearest apple store is an hour and a half away.
No I did not spill anything on it. I was actually using it during I message and then it stopped functioning.
