Contacts showing in nephew's phone

I gave my nephew my old iPhone and now we're sharing contacts. Help please

Is your nephew signed into the phone using your AppleID? If so, he needs his own ID.

Did you do the steps in the article below before giving him the phone?

Contacts coming up in my new phone I sold my iPhone I to a friend at school, his phone contacts are coming up in my new phone. I have logged out from appleID and ICloud and have restored the iPhone 8. But his contacts still comes up in my phone and it is annoying AF. please help!
