Warning "Storage is Almost Full" but have plenty of iCloud Storage Available

Our Macbook is backed up with iCloud. We have added Desktop and Documents the iCloud Drive. There is no other major content that is not backed up. Our iCloud has a terabyte of storage and we are no where close to filling it up. Regardless we are getting warnings that our storage is almost full. I would think we would not get this error message as we are connected to a WiFi and our documents have been uploaded. It's annoying and distracting to keep getting these warning messages.

Any insight?

Hello SchmoFam,

Thanks for using Apple Discussions. Is your Mac almost full or is it your iCloud?
