Icon for Messages missing from iCloud (while logged on via Chrome). Using a PC and iPhone 8+. Updates current. I have just run a backup and still no messages in iCloud much less an actual icon for Messages. Weird. Help?

Messages on your Mac aren’t stored in iCloud. However, messages sent and received on other devices where Messages in iCloud is turned on continue to be stored in iCloud.
Hence , you will never see message icon in www.icloud.com by signing in with Apple ID and password .

If you turn off Messages in iCloud on an iPhone or iPad, your message history will be included in a separate iCloud backup.
