Update Apple TV
I'm getting error code 1648/14 My model is A1378 S/N DC***DR5

A1378 would be the Apple TV (2nd generation).
Its last update was software version 6.2.1 from 2014. It can’t be updated any further.
I would expect it to say that it is up-to-date, rather than any error code.
If you need to re-install the software at any point, then you can Restore your Apple TV through iTunes - Apple Support, for as long as that software remains available on Apple’s update servers.
The Apple TV (2nd generation) is now 9 years old, and classified as obsolete and unsupported hardware. If any issues arise, then there isn’t much that can be done about that. But you can continue to use its current functionality.
