I need help with update on ios

If your iPad is a 6, 7, 8-year old iPad 2, 3 or 1st gen iPad Mini, these iPads cannot be upgraded beyond iOS 9.3.5/9.3.6.

Their internal hardware is too old, underpowered and completely incompatible with any current and future versions of iOS..

If you're using an iPad 2, iPad 3, or first generation iPad mini, you can't. Otherwise, use the Software Update function or iTunes on a computer to update it to 12.4.
