my Mac and Iphone XR airdrop is not working together. Ive done everything asked and still nothing

How do I get my iPhone and Mac to work (discover one another) in airdrop? I have bluetooth, wifi connected, No firewall, in the same room so not far apart. both have it set to everyone.

What year and model Mac do you have? I think it has to be a 2012 or later model to AirDrop between iOS and macOS.
