Is it easy to cancel a newly received Apple Card, if I have yet to activate it?

So I applied for the new Apple Card when it first came out and got the card in the mail yesterday morning. But after discussing it with the family today, I've decided that I wouldn't have a need for a 2nd credit card since I don't have any need to cancel my current Wells Fargo card that I share with my family's banking account.

I haven't activated the card yet, it's still in the envelope. So I was wondering how easy is it for me to cancel this card? Would I need to call Goldman Sachs or is it doable through my Wallet app on the phone? And would there be any potential problem for me cancelling my Apple Card account so soon?

Yes it is easy

Close your account

To close your Apple Card account, contact an Apple Card Specialist:

Open Wallet on your iPhone and tap Apple Card.
Tap the more button .
Then tap the Message button to start chatting with an Apple Card Specialist.

If you want to open an account with Apple Card after closing one, you need to apply again. If you close your account and have an outstanding balance, you need to pay off that balance before you can apply for Apple Card again.
