Apple Mail not displaying messages
Having to rebuild messages in Mail every time computer is switched off/on; sometimes having to rebuild once a day. Do I need to reload High Sierra? Can Mail be reloaded alone?

Mail is part of the OS, can't replace just it.
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
